Our AAU Summer Program develops the leadership skills of Asian American youths and provides literacy-based multicultural education and community engagement. Youth leaders actively develop their leadership and community engagement skills by taking part in team building activities, community projects and weekly hands-on workshops taught by AAU’s lead staff team on topics such as: multicultural education pedagogy, social justice issues and Asian American history.

This voice and choice project will focus greatly on the 21st century skills, and the character development phase of the career development framework. The young people will enhance their skills of communication as a 21st century tool to research candidates, professions, and requirements to fulfill the respective careers. Our program will connect to broader citywide goals and efforts by exposing at-risk participants to vital skills required for them to become leaders.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia’s WorkReady summer program will provide youth ages 14-18 with an opportunity to work with BGCP’s summer camp program to learn more about the organization, the youth we serve, and the surrounding communities. Participants will work with summer camp youth under the guidance of BGCP staff members. Participants will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, professional skills, and and a chance to work with children in their community.

Catholic Social Services Summer Work Ready programming offers two program levels for youth to engage with, an incentive based early program for youth ages 12-15 and our wage earning positions for youth ages 14 and up. Worksites are throughout the city and cover a range of opportunities including; Summer Camp positions, IT Intern program, Office assistants, Working with Community Organizations, Small Business Interns, and a few more! The goal of FNC's Summer Internship program is to connect young adults, with an internships in their dream career field. Whether you hope to be an entrepreneur, a chef, a nurse or a graphic designer our hope is to connect you with an internship in the field of your dreams. Gold Medal Karate Inc. (Zhang Sah)

Earn while you Learn Zhang Sah's middle school incentive based education program. Age 12-14, this program provides for early job preparedness by equipping youth with the skills needed for interviewing and writing a resume. Our focus is sports based youth development, positive coaching and Martial Arts. Our High School program grades 9-12 offers job preparedness with paid work experience in sports based youth development and positive coaching through multiple sports.

The Ambassador program at Independence Seaport Museum provides hands-on learning experiences for high school students. Students who participate will learn to lead citizen science programs for the public and conduct daily water testing. They will, in turn, become ambassadors in their own community, highlighting the importance of our waterways and need to keep them clean.
