We will be collaborating with local community stem professionals as well as other stem professionals who work for the better good of others. Some of these professionals will not be the stereotypical representation of a STEM career professional. It will also serve to represent the groups that are under-represented in the STEM professions. Participants will work their way through an online STEM based curriculum provided by PYN/Workready.

Catholic Social Services Program will focus on participants helping design with the adult guides. During orientation sessions participants will identify areas of interest for their career goals. Working with the guidance of the staff they will identify the steps, opportunities and skills that will best help them achieve it. Creating a tangible road map for them to use as they progress on their journey beyond the summer program. As they achieve benchmarks within this they will earn an incentive.

Catholic Social Services Intermediate Program will focus on providing supported early employment experiences through a variety of work locations. Some sites will be with youth programs, small businesses, and information technology opportunities, we are working to recruit more high quality sites for youth to have a variety of options. Weekly virtual sessions will be paired with this to help participants create a portfolio of their experience and reflect on their interests for future planning.

YouthCOR's Work Ready CIA program (or Careers in Action) offers an Early Experience career exposure program, introducing middle school students to the world of work and helping young people identify the careers that fit their interests and talents. Students select one of three career paths: sports industry, technology or the arts and hear from professionals in that field, as well as explore the various career options. Students will participate in residencies to further develop their talents.

Kensington Soccer Club (KSC) Work Ready teens will go to Kensington-area summer camps area twice a week to teach soccer to the children there. On other days, they will engage in college readiness activities, coach training activities and other career readiness activities. The KSC Work Ready teens do NOT have to be soccer players to be in our program - they will be trained, and led by experiences soccer players. They should be enthusiastic about working with children in a summer camp setting.

Philadelphia Parks & Recreation provides an opportunity for youth, 14-18 years old, to enter the workforce and begin learning and building employment skills. Most youth hired will be assisting at a local recreation center and serving as a camp counselor for the summer day camp. In addition, there are opportunities in specialty programs such as the Performing Arts and Visual Arts camps, the Dell Music Center, Older Adult Centers and the Administrative Offices.

Career Exposure Program recruits 6th & 7th graders between the ages of 12-14 to participate in activities that develop awareness and readiness for a variety of careers. Service Learning Program recruits 8th - 12th graders between the ages of 14-24 to participate in an engaging summer experience. Participants are matched with a project based on their interests. Project areas include: sports leadership, arts & media, education, public health, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.
