Jr. Coach Work Experience Youth will gain experience in coaching and/ or teaching STEM through Sport Several sport based youth development member organizations of the Philadelphia Youth Sport Collaborative participate on this project. 2021 Summer Sports include: Marital Arts Surfing Soccer Basketball and many others 2021 Summer STEM focus: Math Pre-service and weekly training sessions required (TBD) Six weeks ( July 5th - August 13) In-service on the job work hours (20 hrs per week)

Our Service Learning Program will focus on community engagement. Youth will learn effective skills to combat violence with peer mediation. In this six week program youth will have a chance to help develop a mural in Philadelphia, meet community leaders while working in the community. Our Service Learning program is for youth ages 12-14.

Guiding Stars An Anthony C. Richardson Lee Foundation

Our Work Experience program will focus on many skills to prepare youth for the workforce. Youth will effectively learn how to create a resume, correctly fill out an application and participate in mock interviews. Youth will also have a chance to explore different professions to gain knowledge that will help them pick a career. Our Work Experience program is for you 15-24. In addition youth will participate in a Financial Literacy Program with our Partners at Sun Federal Credit Union.

The Independence Seaport Museum’s Ambassador Program provides hands-on learning experiences through two different tracks - the River Ambassadors and the SAILOR Ambassadors. Participants will learn about Philadelphia’s surrounding rivers, including why and how to protect them. The River Ambassadors will learn to lead Citizen Science programs for the public and conduct daily water quality testing. The SAILOR Ambassadors will learn environmental science alongside developing carpentry skills.

Kensington Soccer Club (KSC) Work Ready teens will go to Kensington-area summer camps area twice a week to teach soccer to the children there. On other days, they will engage in college readiness activities, coach training activities and other career readiness activities. The KSC Work Ready teens do NOT have to be soccer players to be in our program - they will be trained, and led by experiences soccer players. They should be enthusiastic about working with children in a summer camp setting.

SEAMAAC’s Hip Hop Heritage (H3) program is an afterschool and summer program for low-income Philadelphia students in grades 7 – 12. H3 uses project-based learning with the core strategy in arts, visual, performing, and media production. The focus is on building youth skills in hip hop, including instruction in breakdancing, graffiti, and leadership through a lens of civic engagement, cultural heritage and social justice.
