The Summer Youth Works Program employs Philadelphia youth for six weeks during the summer. Summer youth workers are expected to work 20 hours a week for six weeks. Each year students complete a service-learning project around a specific theme. The program is designed to give high school students real work experience while enhancing community involvement and academic achievement. Students also participate in skills development activities, workshops, and field trips.

Our various after school clubs that meet through the school year will be going deep in their content areas around Women of Workshop, Automotive Technology/Collision Repair, and WS Industries. This opportunity is limited to Workshop School students only. For example, our students take safety courses through the school year to qualify for the Automotive summer program.

SEAMAAC’s Hip Hop Heritage (H3) program is an afterschool and summer program for low-income Philadelphia students in grades 7 – 12. H3 uses project-based learning with the core strategy in arts, visual, performing, and media production. Temple University Community College Collaborative
