The Independence Seaport Museum’s Ambassador Program provides hands-on learning experiences through two different tracks - the River Ambassadors and the SAILOR Ambassadors. Participants will learn about Philadelphia’s surrounding rivers, including why and how to protect them. The River Ambassadors will learn to lead Citizen Science programs for the public and conduct daily water quality testing. The SAILOR Ambassadors will learn environmental science alongside developing carpentry skills.

Lutheran Settlement House

Summer STAR program, a 6-week summer program that educates teens about the dynamics of abuse, healthy communication, use of technology in relationships, and healthy relationships. Over the course of the program, Summer STAR trains this group of 25 young people, aged 13 to 18, to be ambassadors so that they can educate their larger school community on issues surrounding healthy and unhealthy relationships.

METWorks Youth are provided 21 Century Learning & Practice; entrepreneurial training and career/business exposure. Students will engage in rigorous interaction with role-model guest speakers and high level public/private community stakeholders. Mural Arts Philadelphia

Mural Arts Education partners with the Philadelphia Youth Network’s WorkReady Program to provide summer programming and employment opportunities for youth enrolled in the Art Education program. Youth work in teams at sites across Philadelphia with Teaching Artists on various large or small scale mural projects. The Art Education program helps students across the city unlock their creative capacities, inviting them to take risks, share their experiences, and illustrate the world as they see it.
