Project Home
We will only accept youth who we share our code with. Students in our summer program will be placed across Project HOME and our other non-profit partner sites to participate in service-oriented work. In the past, students have worked for Project HOME residential sites, education programs, human resources, community centers, medical centers, and gift store. Partner non-profit sites include Chosen 300 Ministries, Depaul USA, and Share Food. Students will have the option to select from different work-related preferences and will be paired accordingly.

Students will receive guidance on creating resumes, cover letters, reference sheets, LinkedIn pages, public speaking activities, and interview skills and attire. Pyn Managed Summer Program
Our internships will offer higher-level opportunities for youth with prior employment and/or leadership experience. These wage-bearing experiences, which are designed for youth with prior work or leadership experience, will provide youth with exposure to professional careers otherwise not accessible to the teenage population, opportunities to develop and refine targeted 21st-century skills, and engagement in ongoing, professional-development workshops.

Rock to the Future's WorkReady provides hands-on experience learning and creating music and other creative skills during 2-weeks of full-day programming in Kensington or Germantown. Young people learn guitar, drums, bass, or guitar, form bands, write original music and learn music from popular artists, perform live, attend creative workshops like music production and graphic design, and attend other workshops like civic engagement, anti-violence, college and career readiness, and more.

Sankofa Freedom Academy/Philadelphia Freedom Schools
We will only accept youth who we share our code with. Philadelphia Freedom Schools was born out of the Freedom Summer of 1964. It exists to build intellectual, cultural, civic, and political capacity of children and youth in order to make meaningful strides for themselves, their families, their schools, communities and the larger society. For years, it has been apparent that while the mandate of the Freedom School has been to develop in children a love for reading, the Junior Servant Leader Project has taken that concept several steps further.

School District Of Philadelphia - Start-Up Edu
StartUp EDU, a paid entrepreneurship program for rising 10th - 12th graders. StartUp EDU is an intensive five-week program in which students will gain an entrepreneurial mindset. The program is for students who are passionate about becoming an entrepreneur, growing their personal brand, and setting goals as future business owners.

Steppingstone Scholars

This program is available
We will only accept youth who we share our code with. Sunrise of Philadelphia offers Career Exposure and Work Experience opportunities to youth in 6th-12 grade. Participants in 6-8th grade (must be 12 years old before April 30th, 2023) will attend programming at one of our camp locations. Over a 6 week program youth explore careers, post-secondary options, and prepare for high school. Older youth (must be 14 years old before April 30th, 2022) will be placed at various worksites to gain experience and participate in weekly professional development.

seeks to build the individual and collective power of youth to make positive change in their communities. Our program design achieves this through project based learning that is tied to community issues of importance to the youth; that places a heavy emphasis on teamwork and cooperation; that reaches out to community organizations as partners; and that includes technological and creative arts components. Future Focus - a program of the Intergenerational Center - is a career exploration summer camp at Temple University! Future Focus is for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders that provides students with career exposure opportunities as well as hands on experience and project-based learning. Participate in 6 weeks of in-person instruction, group learning, and mentoring experiences with current Temple students on Temple’s campus, all while earning incentives for reaching your goals and milestones.
